GPS is 52.1132738,-106.7901621 [ 133 Range Road 3063] Drive south on Pike Lake Highway. The park is South of Blairmore Shopping malls, & South of 11th st compost. Turn Right after wetlands then quick Left.
At George Genereux Urban Regional Park, which is West of CNR overpass at Sk Hwy 7, there will be a large handy trash bin on site for Sat. Sept 19 - between 9:00 and 5:00. Additionally, DUE to COVID this clean up will take place now - to - September 31, 2020 during the Meewasin clean up for folks who wish to clean up on their own for these extra days. Email, text or phone 306.380.5368 for a meet up if you are going in your own bubble and if you are bringing bags, or would like to receive bags at the park. Please record your litter clean up on the Litterati app or with pencil on Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup Cards. If you are coming out to the Sept 19 clean up, there will be prizes! Free facemasks, refreshments, plastic gloves & trash bags. Bring your own cloth gloves, and wear shoes or work boots. Please help locate additional trucks, wheelbarrows, trailers [email protected] We are expecting people to arrive at staggered shifts throughout the day, with people cleaning the large - 147.8 acre - forest staying within their own COVID bubble for safety, and wearing masks when closer than 6 feet apart. Thank you. The forest is about 1/2 mile by 1/2 mile square and it should be easy to socially distance and keep all volunteers safe that way or use masks if close contact happens. 147.8 acres of afforested woodlands located in the West Swale also known as the Yorath Island Glacial Spillway
Since 2020, there have been 2 cleanups that have collected 19130kg of trash at this site.

IT OUTLINES CERTAIN DETAILS REGARDING YOUR PARTICIPATION IN OCEAN WISE AND WORLD WILDLIFE FUND CANADA’S GREAT CANADIAN SHORELINE CLEANUP. THIS AGREEMENT INCLUDES AN ASSUMPTION OF LIABILITY BY YOU (THE “PARTICIPANT”) AND A RELEASE AND WAIVER OF LIABILITY IN FAVOUR OF OCEAN WISE AND WORLD WILDLIFE FUND CANADA (THE “PARTNERS”), AND ITS OFFICERS, PARTNERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, SPONSORS, SERVANTS, AGENTS, VOLUNTEERS, REPRESENTATIVES, AGENTS, SUCCESSORS AND ASSIGNS (THE “AGENTS”). IN ORDER TO PARTICIPATE IN THE PROGRAM, THE PARTICIPANT MUST AGREE TO AND ABIDE BY THE CONDITIONS OF THIS AGREEMENT. BY SIGNING BELOW, THE PARTICIPANT INDICATES THAT HE/SHE UNDERSTANDS, ACKNOWLEDGES AND FREELY ACCEPTS THE TERMS OF THE AGREEMENT SET FORTH HEREIN.
In consideration for the opportunity to participate in the Program and for other good and valuable consideration, the receipt and sufficiency of which are hereby acknowledged, the Participant on his/her own behalf and on behalf of his/her heirs, administrators, successors, assigns, insurers, estate and anyone else who may make any claim for or on their behalf, hereby irrevocably and unconditionally states and agrees as follows:
I have read this Agreement and understand that it contains a promise not to sue the Partners or the Agents and that it constitutes a release of liability and an indemnity for all claims. If the Participant is under the age of nineteen, I confirm that I am his or her parent or guardian and that I have executed the Agreement on behalf of the Participant.
This Agreement will be binding on myself or my child or ward, as the case may be, and our respective representatives, heirs and assigns.
